Doug was a student of mine at UMSL in the 1960s and performed research in my lab. I served as a mentor, although he didn't always take my advice, but had a spectacular career as an orthopedic surgeon and we are very proud of him. We maintained contact over the years and continued our friendship to the present. I was so sorry to read the news of Doug´s passing. He was a high school classmate of mine. He always was a positive and a genuine person. My condolences to his family.

Douglas Nuelle was my orthopedic surgeon, He preformed my total knee replacement on August 22nd last year, he was more than just my Doctor, we were friends, I had formed the closest friendship with him more than any Doctor I have previously known, he had a great sense of humor and was a great Banjo player. He will certainly be deeply missed by myself and the community´s he served.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am a nurse and worked with Dr. Nuelle in Blue Ridge and Blairsville and was also his patient. He was kind and caring and a wonderful person and physician. I know both his family and office staff are devastated from his loss. He will be deeply missed.
