My Uncle Doug embodied the spirit of a true Mountain Man. I drove to Durango to stay with him my Senior year spring break and after college I lived with him for a month while ski bumming. He was one of the easiest people to be around. I remember as a kid he would eat a raw onion every day saying it was the key to staying healthy. He loved to call me "Steve" and made sure I stayed tough even though I was so girlie. I thank him for leading my life to the mountains. RIP Uncle. I will miss...

He was one of the kindest persons I knew. Having spent a few weeks working for him in Durango, my Grandma Kerr passed away. He payed for me to fly home. He was just that kind of person. He would do anything to help out.

I am so sad that Doug O'Keefe, my brother in law went home to our Jesus in heaven. Doug was so unique & so different from anyone I ever met. Honesty and integrity are traits that matter in his life. Having him in my life, most of my life, has been such a blessing to me. He was very close to his brother, my husband, Mickey. He lived his life for Jesus.
