Doug was such a kind and generous person. Whatever He had He shared and always made You feel welcome. I can still hear his laugh when I think of him. He loved Jill unconditionally, which was such a gift to Jill. I´ll always cherish all the fun He added to My life and many others. He was a true Officer and a Gentleman.

Ron Powers told me that Doug died. We all knew each other in college where Doug, we never called him that, and Ron were inseparable. We called him Oetts. He was a delight. The obit is wonderfully done, and it sounds like he had -- by all accounts -- a great and exciting life. I am truly pleased for him about that and sad that he is gone.
