Margie and I are sorry for your loss. Doug, with a little push from Dixie is the reason I went to work for WSDOT. Doug was my first boss. Back then he was provided a state vehicle to commute between home and work. He would pick me up every day and bring me home. A huge benefit for a young family just getting started. He was the Lead mechanic in Bellingham and could fix almost anything. He also was an excellent welder and metal fabricator. He also enjoyed a good debate. I'll leave it...
