I am very sorry circumstances prevented me from attending either the viewing or funeral of Douglas. He has been a friend of mine for many years at the Deseret News. He was a "Clark Kent" in every way, soft-spoken and courteous until he caught hold of a story and then he pursued it to the end just like Superman.
