Doug was the 757/767 POI from the FAA to Delta Air Lines. While I was not assigned to that program, when I was assigned a project that was somewhat "above my pay grade", Doug kindly showed me how the FAA and Delta needed the project to be completed. His help was invaluable. Every two years, he would "quiz" me about my flight instruction and would assist me in renewing my certified flight instructor ratings. Doug epitomized the "Friendly Aviation Administration", as were the other inspectors...

Doug was a lifelong friend and Masonic brother. Doug flew with my Dad, Bob Wallace and Leonard Beers. I have lots of great memories growing up with Doug and family in my life. Doug and I were both Worshipful Masters of Macon Ware Lodge, No.64 AF&AM in Falls Church VA. Safe travels brother to that house not made with hands. I will miss you.
