Not sure what to say?

To someone that I often thought about and always remembered with a smile. To the Big Guy that always had my back and was always there to pick me up. To this day, whenever I hear a Carole King song I think of you....Rest In Peace my friend and may God Bless you and your family.

Much love to you Doug. I was proud to play drums for you. Loved your stories especially the one where you were a potential Dallas Cowboy kicker who never got on the plane to Thousand Oaks. God's peace to you dear friend and to your family.

My deepest sympathy goes to a dear old elementary friend (Melanie)of mine and her family who had 40 years with a great guy! I will always remember you Doug and what a hero you were to me / protecting me from some bullies. My dad thought the world of you and now you are with him - you will be in good company! You will be missed but a big part of you stays with us in your children. Prayers and hugs to all.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Doug's family. He was a David W. Carter GREAT! An icon football player to be remembered. Praying for you all.

Thanks for all of our family memories, you will be missed by us all. Our special times will live on with our grand kids and your love for them will always be present. Sam and I will always be grateful for the love and kindness you blessed our family with.

Doug - you are loved by all of us who knew you and you will be missed but not forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Perdue family for Doug's light will never go out.
