Doug was a Prince of a Man. He was the most kind, caring, and wonderful person I was lucky enough to know. We lucked out when we moved in 27 years ago and became his next door neighbor. We didn't know how fortunate we would be to always hear his cherry hello as he called down from the deck to say hello and ask how we were doing. We saw him often on the block and were enriched by his friendship and by the privilege of speaking to a marvelous person. He will be deeply missed.
