Not sure what to say?

Again, was it so long ago that we danced at the OSU Dance Department and worked both at the Top and Ollie's together? Indeed my friend. Where has the time gone. Look for me in the future.

I just read about Doug's passing in onCampus Today; there was a news submission about his memorial service happening today. I had no clue he passed in November and am so sadden to hear the news.

I worked for Doug several years ago in the Family Medicine Research Office. He was such a kind man and always a pleasure to be around. No matter his work load he always had a moment for a hello and a quick chat. Years later we both ended up with offices in the Gateway building on High Street...

I will always remeber our days at the Peppercorn Duck Club when we would all be in the "weeds" chasing down all the tables and Doug would laugh in the kitchen and wipe his brow, vent and go right back at it. Then we would all take off to Schmidt's and drink and dance the night away! It was an honor to know him!

Marty,
So sorry to hear about your husband. I know you worked so hard to get him the best care during his illness. You are in my thoughts during this difficult journey without your husband.
Thinking of you. Laurene Zavodny

Please accept my condolences.

Over the past few years, I knew Doug from the OSU College of Medicine's Behavioral and Social Sciences Task Force. His dedication to ensuring that medical students are educated about these topics was admirable.

Although I only knew him professionally, I could tell what a warm and considerate person he was. While we were waiting for others to arrive for a committee meeting one day, I also learned how proud he was of his family.

Marty and Rosemary,
The Cropper family just found out about Doug's passing. We sat at the dinner table yesterday and talked about your family. Carl enjoyed line judging with Doug. What would we have done without them? We are so very sorry to hear this sad news. Know that we extend our deepest condolences to your family.
The Cropper Family
Carl, Lori, Rachel and Haley
