Douglas L. Rector Ph.D.

I remember Douglas , a year behind me in High School, as the trumpet player that played in my Dixeland Band in high school.

Doug was the first trumpet player in my high school jazz band. He lived not far from me near long lake. I´m sorry we did not keep in touch

I knew Doug as a friend and colleague during my Upjohn and Pharmacia & Upjohn days. Doug had a lot of interest and I always enjoyed our interactions. I was sorry to learn about his death and want to express my sympathy to his family.

I will miss seeing Doug at the 60th Vicksburg HS Class of '59 reunion in 2019. He and Pam reliably attended these events and enabled us to laugh together about who was to blame for our failed experiments in HS chem lab. Having attained a PhD in Chemistry, I have to let his account prevail. My condolences to Pam and all the family.

Doug and my late husband Jim Carpenter were best friends and neighbors growing up. I heard so many funny stories. My condolences to the family.

I was saddened to hear that Doug passed away. My thoughts are with you and your family.
