Doug was instrumental in the formation of the Christian Brothers School Alumni Association and may well have been the one who uttered the fateful words "you guys should form an alumni association" as a number of us alumni sat around the brothers' dining room table at CBS in the waning hours of the 1986 foundation picnic, reminiscing about our years past at CBS.

I'm so sorry to read about Doug in this mornings paper.Please accept my deepest sympathy.Doug was one of those guy's you don't run across to often in life.He was a most likeable person, I always enjoyed being in his company.
I met him when he worked at the Times-Picauyne many, many years ago which is where I retire from after 37 years in advertising.I did handle the advertising for Christian Brothers School so our paths did cross at times.
