Send FlowersRIDGEWAY, Douglas Wayne Sr., 74 of Victoria, Virginia, died January 18, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Blanche Franklin Ridgeway; two sons, Doug Ridgeway (Terri), of Chesterfield, Barry Ridgeway (Gail), of Henrico; grandchildren, Sarah, Lauren and Adam Ridgeway; brothers, Joel (Brenda), Jerry (Cathy) and Robert (Jenny); sister, Alice R. Dunn (Wayne). Wayne was a retired conductor for Norfolk Southern Railway, formerly the Virginian Railway. He was a founding charter member of the Victoria Golf Club and a member of Victoria Baptist Church. The family will receive friends, Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, where funeral services will be held, Monday, January 21, 2013 at2 p.m. Interment in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Victoria Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1419, Victoria, Va. 23974 or Hospice of Virginia, Retreat Hospital, 2621 Grove Ave, Fifth Floor, Richmond, Va. 23220. Staples Funeral Home, Victoria in charge of arrangements. Blanche:
Wayne was one of my favorite people to be around at Victoria Golf Course. His sarcasm and wit (coupled with a fantastic short game) made him one of the most desired members of any foursome on the links. I know in my heart he and T.R.
