Not sure what to say?

I am just learning today of Doug's passing. So early and much too soon in his life. I taught vocal music at South Christian HS in the late 1970's and passed the baton to Doug in 1980 which I believe, is when he first started at South. Doug did a great job leading the choral program during his long tenure at South. I am sure he is singing with the choirs of angels now and for eternity!

Dear Shelley, We are so sorry and shocked to hear of Doug's death. We had no idea he was sick. What a terrible loss for you, your kids, and this whole community. Our relationship goes way back to Denver as you remember. I had open heart surgery on Feb. 12 and so I've missed virtually everything that has been happening. God bless you in this devastating time.

We enjoyed singing under Doug in the Metropolitan Choir. We offer our sympathy to you and family. Jerry & Carolyn Haverdink

Dear Shelley: As a former Met's Choir member I have great memories of the years Doug was our director, he was my favorite - his professionalism and yet down to earth funny at times. Through our trips I have gotten to know him and you on a more personal level, and I cherish all of those memories. Doug is "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" who he has loved and served all his life. I am extending my Christian sympathy to you and your family. May God's love surround you with His comfort and peace.

I remember mr rosema from my 4 years at south Christian. I sang 4 yrs with him in choir and two years in madrigals. He gave me a chance to work hard and contribute toward our state 1 ratings. I learned a great deal from him. He expected us to work hard and try our best.
I will always have fond memories of him . I know he will be missed by many.

Our earthly loss is heavens greatest gain. Anyone who knew him knows very exactly what he's doing now, but from now on when he lifts his arms..he flies...

Shelly, I am so sorry to hear or your loss - too young and so difficult - I'l be thinking of you and praying for you and your family, Mindy Popiel Seufert

I haven't known anyone like Doug. He did so many things so well. Whether it was swinging a baton, a fishing pole, a hammer, or a golf club, Doug did it well. I remember him filling in for my church softball team at second base in Denver, wearing the tuxedo shirt, pants, and shoes that he wore to the concert he had just directed. Doug also did life so well. Whether it was talking to a friend, laughing with whomever he was with, leading a class, or being a husband and father to his family, Doug...
