Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathys to the family. I will miss my cousin even though we didn't stay in touch as much as we should have. I will always remember the fun we had when we were kids. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. I'm sure your dad is in a better place.

Dear Irmgard and Family, So very sorry to learn the news of Douglas' passing. You are in my sincere prayers and sympathy. Fonest memories of our friendship. Ann

So sorry to hear this news. I went to grade school with Doug and saw him last July. Prayers go out to his family.

So sorry to hear of the loss of a great friend and fellow firefighter. I'll always remember Doug as he came to me when I was fire chief in Portland, wanting to join the fire company, but only as fire police. He wound up becoming one of the most active firefighters, always willing to lend a hand to anyone at any time. Rest in peace brother firefighter.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Bobby Erica and family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you at this sad time. Cherish the wonderful memories. May god bless you all. Take care.

To The Schuette Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Doug left a lasting impression on all of us who knew him. He was a great guy. He also was a dedicated member of the Fire Company and was always there when the siren blew and the community needed his help.
Sincerely,
Bob Cartwright
retired Portland Police Chief
current President of Portland Borough Town council
