Not sure what to say?

DEAR SECORD FAMILY, DOUG WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS QUICK WIT, AND DEVOTION TO HIS FAMILY, AND THE TOWN OF MARLBOROUGH. WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN OUR MEMORY FOR DOUG AND RETTA. OUR PRAYERS AND LOVE ARE WITH YOU ALL.

Betty, Greg, Judy, Brian, Ian and Heidi,

My deepest condolences on the loss of Doug. I have many fond memories of spending time at the lake and visiting Doug and Retta with my grandparents, Millie & Herb. I hope you are comforted by the thought that he and Retta are together again and I have no doubt she and my grandparents were there to welcome him. He was a wonderful man and lived a good life.

Love & Peace,
Kathy Mendall

Dear Greg and the Secord family,

Doug was an inspiration and comic relief so many times in our Marborough tenure. When a meeting became too "serious" he interjected levity with adept timing. We had a beautiul red oak that I wanted to keep. He came here with a long thin drill and found the tree virtually hollow.......... probably saving our roof from the next big storm. our daughter Jennifer was here and he took time to explain that white oaks are sturdy trees, but often reds are...

Sister Betty,
Please accept my condolences and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Sharon

Greg, our prayers are with you. Reading about your father's life in the obituary made me understand why you do what you do. He led a 'fine' life.

Betty, Brian & Greg,

My thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. Your dad was a first class gentleman - I looked up to him and your mom with awe and respect. I remember going to your house when we were kids, Betty, and how welcome I always felt. You are all in my prayers. God Bless you all.

Dear Betty, Brian and Greg,

My thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your Dad.
