Not sure what to say?

Mr Shaffer was the first math instructor who inspired my true love of the discipline. I hate I found you too late to let you know how much I appreciated your guidance. I looked for years. God bless your family and loved ones. He was truly a special instructor and human being. RiH

Mr. Shaffer was one of my most favorite teachers at Gundry Elementary School. He was a great teacher. He always greeted his students with a smile. I really enjoyed his class and the wisdom he bestowed upon me. Thank you Mr. Shaffer and RIP.

My mentor teacher! Learning and teaching with you ❤ was an awesome experience. I thank you for the opportunity! Continuous and deepest condolences to your family.

Doug and I taught together in F;int. He subbed for me when I was on sickleave. He was a good friend. He tried unsuccessfully, to teach me to play guitar..

Mr. Shaffer was a well loved editor by his students. One of my best memories was when the whole cafeteria stood up and cheered. Because Mr Shaffer had on a nice suit for picture day back in the early 1980s. Great times, great memories. Mr. Shaffer Rest in eternal peace!

RiH ! He was one of everyone’s favorite teacher! I send my condolences.

Ironically I was just talking about you Mr Schaffer you were someone who was unforgettable we loved you so much at Gundry I was your early 70s student and it did my heart good when I seen some years ago and you knew exactly I was. My deepest condolences to your family I know you swill be missed. Love Renee

Douglas Shaffer was the coolest of the cool. The best educator. The best science teacher ever. Gundry was a wonderful place to learn because of teachers alongside Mr. Shaffer. May God give you comfort during this time.

Mr. Shaffer, you gave me so many great memories of my elementary school days. You got me interested in the sciences and I work in the science field, to this very day. When you found out that we shared a birthday, you brought a cupcake to my classroom, every year, until I left Gundry. You are loved and will truly be missed.
