Not sure what to say?

Mr. Sharp was my superintendent while I worked for North Kossuth Commty Schools. He was an inspiration to my career and walk of integrity as a Christian. He was truly the best superintendent I had the privilege of working under.

He was a very nice man! When we had cousin reunion, he had a smile for all of us! Our mom and dad, Aunt Millicent and Uncle Casey, thought very highly of him. Sorry for your loss to Harriet and family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Doug was a joy to work for and a very talented leader. His vision and friendship was always appreciated. We will always cherish the memories and time that we had with Doug and Harriet. Wonderful friends!!

My deepest sympathy to Harriet and all the family. I remember well you folks when we attended First Baptist Church in Cedar Falls. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may God comfort you.

What a great guy! I met Doug when he taught social studies in Laporte city. He also was annual advisor and took a lot of pictures for the annual. A true pillar of any community he served in.

My sympathy and prayers for your family. I remember Doug as a very respected and principled committee member for Troop 43 at First Baptist in CF.

Sorry to hear that Doug has passed away. I first knew Doug in La Porte City, when I came there to be an elementary principal. Then as I worked for the Iowa Dept of Education, I again worked with Doug. Always enjoyed visiting with him and his sense of humor. Vividly in my mind was the time we had a supt mtg at Elkader, Doug in his entertaining fashion, walked in a bit late in his bright purple UNI suit which was the day after UNI had beat U of Iowa. Everyone roared and he totally enjoyed it....
