Not sure what to say?

To Doug's friends and family,

I have many fond memories of Doug over the last two years I had the pleasure of knowing him. Most of the time when we hung out, we played Halo and Doug was one of the best I know in a tank. He was always a very nice person to just talk to, and he was always very quick to smile. I will always remember Doug and I know his presence will be missed at SVSU.

To all Dougs close friends and family:
I would just like to express my thoughts and prayers of sympathy to you. Doug's shining spirit will be missed on campus.
God Be With you

I am the Administrative Secretary for University Housing and Residential Life at Saginaw Valley State University. I started in the department in August 2003. From the first time I meet Doug I knew he was special. When he would enter the department everyone would get a big smile and ask him how he was doing. He would gentle say fine. Never demanding and always a smile. What a kind and unassuming soul. In the short time I knew him, I could tell he was a gift from God to his family and friends.

Although I didn't get an opportunity to know Doug very well, we did have a few chances while he lived on campus to talk. Doug was one of those people that as soon as you first meet, you feel comfortable being around, like I had known him for a long time. I'm am a richer person for having the opportunity to have crossed paths with Doug. He is missed around here already!

Doug came to live with us here in the SVSU family and will truly be missed. Working in housing, we sometimes get to bring those who live here closer to us. His CARDINAL spirit will live on in our hearts at SVSU.

Roger, I want to express my deepest sympathy to you and your spouse. I just learned about Douglas' passing on today. May God be with you. These are very sad days for you. Just keep up your HOPE. You have made a difference in many lives. We appreciate all you have done. I will pray for peace for you both.

Paul Thiefels left a message for me concerning Doug's death and then I saw the obituary in tonight's paper. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this tough time.

To the Spooner family, I had the fortunate opportunity to interact with Doug on many occasions. He was very kinda dn friendly with everyone he came across making them feel at ease and confortable just being around him. We will all miss Doug, and Pray for him.
