Douglas J. (Dougie) Stacy, 66, a resident of Agawam, entered into his eternal home with the Lord on January 17, 2024 in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in Springfield, MA on November 18, 1957 to Nancy A. (Steiniere) Stacy and to the late William J. Stacy, Sr. Doug grew up in Southwick, MA, and he was 1976 graduate of Southwick High School where he excelled in sports, especially soccer and basketball. Doug worked for forty years for Eversource as a lead cable splicer, and in his later years, he worked for their meter division department. He was a member of their storm duty, and he was involved in helping the community out with multiple storms throughout the years. Doug was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and he held a first-class firemen's license. Doug loved traveling and he had many trips throughout the years going to Hawaii, a Caribbean Cruise, Barbados, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon and Disney. His favorite place to go every year was Hampton Beach with all his family and friends. He had a love for his Chocolate labs, Ginger and Cinnamon, and he was dedicated to walking them every day throughout the neighborhood. He was an avid New York Giants and Redsox fan. He took an active role in his son Nicholas' sports, coaching Agawam Little League baseball, basketball and soccer. When Doug wasn t discussing sports, he was making people laugh with his jokes and impressions. He leaves his wife of thirty-six years, Robin L. (Randall) Stacy, a son Nicholas A. Stacy of Agawam, his mother Nancy A. (Steiniere) Stacy of Southwick, two brothers, William J. Stacy, Jr. of Tennessee, Michael E. and his wife Lorrie of South Carolina, two sisters, Deborah S. and her husband Dana Loomis of Granville, Annemarie L. and her husband Timoleon Bacopoulos of Granville, four nephews, Scott Loomis, Jamie Loomis, Andrew Randall, Cameron Randall, two nieces Stacy (Loomis) Kuhlman and Brittany (Randall) Cortese, and his four precious great nieces and nephew, Wrigley Kuhlman, Calvin Kuhlman, Creda Kuhlman and Brooke Loomis, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Stewart and Karen (Randall) Withee of Agawam, and a brother-in-law, Stuart "Rusty" Randall of West Springfield. Doug and Robin's home was always open for entertaining family and friends throughout the years with providing food and delicious homemade treats and a place for all the kids to hang out. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Baystate Medical Center for their outstanding dedication and compassionate care they gave to Doug.
