Not sure what to say?

Doug was in the first band I was in at 15 years old! Doug and Dave strong saw something in the young kid to give me a chance. They truly stood behind my drumming even though I was green. I always remember Doug at cookie break at the Gunther´s place while practing . See you on the otherside Doug!

I just learned of Dougs death and am so sorry for your loss.

I met Doug online in 2000, and in person in 2007. His singing voice was unparrelled, and his John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart impressions both spot on.

I have the original cast recording of Broadways classic musical, Camelot. Once, while talking via AOL, Doug asked what I was doing. I replied, Just listening to Robert Goulet trying to sound like you.

I think Tom Jones would have sobbed to hear Dougs...

Thank you for all your kind words about my brother Doug, last night at the visitations we had Dave Strong from the Grand Junction and other friends who loved to sing with him, they all had such nice stories of him it was heartwarming to know he had people who liked him and appreciated his voice. Thanks so much, his loving family.

I am saddened to hear the news about my friend and former band mate Doug. Doug and I played together in the Grand Junction Band several years ago. I will always remember his voice. It was truly his, and it was special. Especially when he sang "It's Only Make Believe", an old Conway Twitty song. His voice was definitely commanding on that. We had a great time in that band. Right after the band split up, I would see Doug around working at Sears, or somewhere and he wold talk about some karaoke...

Known Doug since 10th grade...always kind, found joy in people and music, and I am a better person having known him. Remember many intense rehearsals and concerts shared. Doug always treated people with kindness and would freely praise a job well done. Despite pain and limitations Doug embraced life with few complaints while finding joy in the moment. My condolences to his family and friends. jimmyj

Doug never had a cross word for anyone. My last memories of him were singing at our class reunion and on the dance floor in his wheel chair. Condolences to the family. Victor mead

I was a class mate of Doug's at Ainsworth. He was a good person. Your family is in my prayers.
