Not sure what to say?

Stump Family,

I was very saddened to read about Doug's passing. He was a teacher, JV Football coach, and Varsity basketball coach of mine at Hillsville High School. I remember him fondly and still use some of the lessons I learned from him in my teaching and coaching career (now in my 36th year).
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rowdy, Shannon and Caleb,
I heard about Mr. Stump last night and am sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Lori

Mr. Doug was a wonderful man I am so blessed to say that he was part of my family. I am keeping all the family and friends in my prayers. May God bless everyone. Until we met again Mr. Doug.

Doug and I grew up near each other at Bluff City. He was always such a fine person. I saw him this past summer at a filling station in Narrows. He was as friendly and nice as could be. I am proud to have known him. The family is in my prayers and yes we will all be with each other some day. Sincerely,Geraldine "Jerri" Stanley (Ratcliffe)

Penny, Dusty and Rowdy,
Your Dad was a truly good man and will be missed by many. He showed his kindness in so many ways. We loved him and have wonderful memories of him.. May God bless you, sustain you and give you strength. May He walk beside you and keep you safe.
God Bless You,
Punk and Reba

Although we were only able to meet Mr. Stump a couple of times, we know that he played a vital role in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Our hearts are heavy with sympathy for Rowdy, Shannon and Caleb, and for the rest of Mr. Stump's family and friends. We know that they will carry special memories, learned lessons and values imparted to them in the time they were able to share with him.
