Read MoreIn the fall of 1965 I was a freshman at BYU. I had the privilege of having Doug Thayer as my English instructor that first semester. I have never forgotten what I learned and the way he taught. We never met again after that semester, but I have never forgotten what I learned from Doug Thayer.

In the fall of 1965 I was a freshman at BYU. Doug Thayer was the instructor in the English class I took that fall. I have never forgotten what I learned and the way he taught. (It is the only class I didn't forget...quickly.) We never met again once that class was completed, but he was in my thoughts many, many times since that wonderful fall. Peace be with you Mr. Thayer and thank you...always.
