Not sure what to say?

I worked with Doug on the Roland program. He was a most honorable and honest person and a fine engineer. I enjoyed his personality and humor. He was very supportive of his people and a great guy to work for and with. My sincere condolences.

My sincere condolences to the Tilden family! During the 1980’s I worked for Doug for several years and enjoyed his leadership and guidance. We always found him kind and caring for his employees both on and off work. Most remarkable about him was that he would not tolerate any pity for himself and his impediment of getting around and that included fitting into tiny business aircraft when traveling to test sites. I'm wishing peace and comfort for you and the family. God bless you.

May Peace and Grace fill your family at this time. Our prayers are with all of you.

Doug was an amazing man in so many ways - an outstanding engineer, a solid, respected leader and all-around fine citizen in the community and love of his family. It was an honor and privilege to have known and worked with Doug. Cecile and her family can be extremely proud of this wonderful man and the major role they played in his amazing life.

What an amazing individual! We will all miss him!

I wish I could be in the NW and attend Doug's memorial service. Unfortunately, we do not return until Jan. 18th. I worked with Doug on the Lunar Rover Program where he was the chief weights engineer. We had an assignment to go to Seattle for a short time for the design/development phase. Doug introduced me to the finer points of hockey and we attended some games together. I greatly respected his work ethic and integrity. John Allen

I had the great pleasure of working with Doug for a brief time on the Roland & Avenger programs at Boeing in the early 1980's. He was an exceptional man and a great engineer. We will miss you Doug. Thanks for the opportunity to know you, and may you rest in peace.
