Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of hearing this man teach...not economics, but of Jesus and Salvation at Covenant Community Church of West Springfield. He was a brilliant, humble man. I just today learned of his passing. We will meet again I think.

Some 27 years after having him as my professor I still remember him fondly as my favorite professor who taught with more energy and passion than any other professor I had. I'm saddened to hear of his passing, my condolences, and know that his memory will live long after his life.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. He was one of the best teachers I have ever had, and made my years at Wharton and Penn the most challenging and memorable.

It was our privilege to meet Doug when he first arrived in Perth as the Chair of Economics at UWA. His many visits to Perth since that time and especially his annual visits over the last 6 years have been special times for our whole family. He was a man of integrity and was loyal, wise, gentle and kind, and a man of great faith. His Christian witness is something he has left us as a great and lasting legacy, We loved him dearly and shall miss him terribly.
Till we meet again in...

Condolences Ann at this difficult time, it was my great fortune to have known Doug over these many years, a true gentle and lovinbg person.

Ann, I'm so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. May the Lord comfort you and your daughters.
