Not sure what to say?

I had the honor of working and traveling with Doug. He was truly one of the most beautiful souls I have encountered and I miss him dearly. It always seemed that we had more time to work and enjoy life. I wish I had taken more time to savor the blessing that was Doug Wagenaar. It was a joy to have him share his insights and he was always generous with giving credit and making me feel better about myself. I wish he were still with us physically, but know that his loving Spirit lives on....

Very sad to hear these news.Doug was an excellent scientist and a very nice person.

This came quite as a shock. I only knew Doug professionally and had high regards for him. It was always fund to be with him and see him on meetings and chat about science but also about his kids, which he was so proud of. Wanted to contact him for a paper review - and found this. Very sad, Doug will be missed.

In honor and memory of Doug. A dear and hilarious friend. His joy lives on.
