Not sure what to say?

Christmas photo of my wife, Kay, of 55 years, and 3 grand kids, who all live in Jackson, Wyoming In our first year of med school, I picked up Doug every day, where his wife, terry, lived close by. He was my best friend, and we played golf as much as we could. We remained friends all 4 years, but, sadly lost track of each other

Doug and I were classmates at Cleveland High School. He was always a star! The CHS Alumni Association honored Doug with the Distinguished Alumni award,"The Order of the Feather". It was great to see him that day. My sincere sympathy to Doug's family.

Dr. Werschkul performed upper back surgery on me in Bellingham in November of 1986. His bedside manner, concern for me as a patient and follow up care was next to none! In August of 1988, I needed lower back surgery but was devastated to learn he was leaving Bellingham to join the military medical corp. May his family know that their loss is shared by many such as I. Rest in Peace, Doc.

Doug and I and Richard Stark worked summers during our college years at PP&L's park system on the Lewis River in Washington State. I cooked dinners, Doug packed our lunches, and Richard did breakfast. All of us were in the same fraternity, I at Willamette University, and Doug and Richhard at U of O. We all went our separate ways...

At that time he was married to Terry, who I knew from Beaverton High School. They had two youg kids. We played golf often and socialized daily. He was probably the smartest guy in school, along with Jim Pennington, also a good friend. Unfortunately, I lost contact with Doug after Med school. I thought of him often and was saddened by his death. He was a...
