I knew Doug as a young person in Pleasant Grove. I got reacquainted when I worked with his wonderful wife Trea at Highland Elementary. I know he will be greatly missed. He was an honest and worthwhile human being. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I will miss my hiking buddy of old. He was always pushing the hiking season opening which resulted in some interesting times.

Deepest sympathy on the passing of a great (and passionate gut). I was the lawyer assigned to work with Doug on many of his challenging audits - notably, the Navajo Trust Fund audit and the Timpanogos Mental health audit. Doug's leadership and good audit work resulted in major benefits for Utah Navahos and the arrest and conviction of several bad apples. He taught me a lot.
