Not sure what to say?

Dear Barbara, (and family)
I've been holding off on writing for want of some words which will make sense. I can't find any except that I am so so deeply sorry and saddened by the news of Doug's death. It feels like a lifetime since we were together, virtualy related, with Jane, Chuck, Donald, Jill, and the whole gang.
I will always remember Doug as the true geniune grounded yet elegant gentleman he was and how he shared that everyday with the world. His legacy is one for you and all...

My deepest sympathy goes to the White family. I lived on Red Chimney Dr. (#77) as a child and I remember riding my bike and seeing Doug doing yard work one day. He was a great news anchor and a well respected individual. I've always been a channel ten viewer. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Our sincere condolences to Mrs. White and all the family. We, as former Rhode Islanders, always invited Doug White into our home each evening for the news. My husband had the pleasure of meeting him at one time when he was doing a story in Scituate. He will be missed by many.

I knew I was back home when I would see Doug White on my TV. I grew up with Doug in my living room. He's like family. My deepest sympathy to the White family. Thank you Doug for always making me feel at home.

Barbara, we are so sorry to hear about Doug, some of the old crew from channel 2 were talking about him the other day. We have warm memories and a few laughs when we remember him and the time in the early 70's when TV was an adventure.

I had the honor of meeting Mr. White at my previous job at CVS in East Greenwich. He was a polite man and always had a smile and a hello for you. I enjoyed meeting him and watching him on the news since I was a child. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. My sympathies to all his family and friends.

I would like to express my sympathies to the White family, I grew up watching Doug White throughout my childhood into adulthood. At 38 years old living in another state for the past 9 years, the news was sad for my family and Doug will always be remembered in Rhode Island history. My sympathy to Mrs White, children and grandchildren, May God watch over all of you at this sad time and bring you comfort that he is up with Jesus in Heaven.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in this time of sorrow. May memories of Doug comfort you. May God comfort you in your time of need.
God Bless
