Douglas Woods

I didn't know Doug personally, but our son, Mic, sure loved him. Doug brought us lot of peace after we lost Mic. His FB tributes and memorial bike ride on the anniversary of Mic's passing meant the world to us. I was so shocked and to hear of his own passing! So young, so suddenly. I'm so sorry for that. Praise God he knows Jesus and the wait to see him is temporary.

I was shocked to read this and I ache for Doug's wife, parents, siblings and friends. Doug was a friend of my son, Mic, who passed at 23, in August of 2010. Doug was so sweet to honor Mic through his friendship. Doug blessed us, Mic's parents, by keeping in touch. Now they are together. I'm so very sorry he's gone from us, and so filled with joy that he knows Jesus and we'll see him again. You'll continue in my prayers. May God grant ongoing comfort and keep you close. Doug and I went to high school together. We played on the school soccer team and shared a few classes. He was a really good soccer player, a determined defender, and a fast runner. I still remember the soccer ball juggling competition where we all juggled until we dropped the ball. In the end there was only one person left juggling--it was Doug! Another thing I remember about Doug was his laugh and big smile that made you want to smile too. In dramatic times Doug was calm. I miss his presence...

I met Doug for the first time when he joined my husband and me as we celebrated Thanksgiving with friends last year. He later attended my birthday party. I thought that we was very kind and fit in well with everyone. He immediately left a lasting impression. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his new bride and family.

Doug you will be missed. Your smile was infectious and beautiful outlook on life was enlightening. You and Chad my son were good friends thru high school and I was able to spend time with you at his Wedding in DR last December. We had a chance to go on a run when I visited Los Alamos last April.

I will think of you then next time I am up in those mountains. Your memory will stay with me.
