Not sure what to say?

It's another beautiful spring morning and I'm enjoying a gorgeous sunrise with a cup of coffee thinking about my friend Doug. Doug was one of many mentors that helped to direct me towards a productive and meaningful life. Today I'm sharing my gratitude for Doug's direction and hoping Angie is on a sunny beach in Hawaii like they planned. Love you guys.

Doug may have needed a break from a lifetime of giving everyone a hand up. Doug gave me a hand up that forever changed the course of my life for the better. Always greeting folks with a smile and a kind word best describes brother Doug. Take a break dear friend as we will never forget the unconditional love you gave each of us. All my love to you Angie for being the sunshine in Doug's everyday.

May you rest in peace, love your Island Queen.

Doug was an Alaskan grandfather to our girls. He loved the girls as if they were his own and he always knew what flavor blow-pop to give the girls when we stopped by his shop. We will always enjoy remembering the stories he would tell us about his childhood and life in Alaska. He will be greatly missed.

I am so glad and blessed to have known Doug. He was a truly wonderful, giving, kindhearted man and it was my absolute pleasure to have shared a small part of both of your lives, Angie. Thank you for being in our lives and know that Doug is right here, right now with us. He is watching all we do and guarding our safe paths for us, our new Guardian Angel. All our love Angie, -- Alaina Kemp

Angie, I am so sorry to hear of Dougs passing. He was one of a very few men that i used as a role model when i was young. The time spent in the gym and in the shop with him taught me work ethic and perseverence, traits that have served me well thru life. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to you.

Angie, What a wonderful man Doug was, I feel blessed to have known him. May you find peace and comfort in the memories and love he left behind. I will always remember you Doug!
Love, Your Roller Derby Queen
