Nelle,
So sorry about Douglas. He was a fine man. My fondest remembrances of Doug were his Boy Scout days in Troop 127 and his participation as manager of the Douglas County Tigers football team in the '50's.

In my 35 year working career, I have only met one person who was the same each and every time I saw them, much less always positive each and every time. His name is Doug Wright. What an absolute pleasure to have known him all these years and learned from him. He always brightened our day. The fact that we were a generation apart did not matter. I am proud I could honor Doug by meeting you all last night at the visitation. May Doug rest in peace having risen in glory. With our heartfelt thoughts, prayers and sympathies, Hal

Miss Nancy,
Not sure if you remember me but Mr. Doug brought you here to AEP in Griffin to meet me, so that I could see you were as precious as he had claimed you were and he was absolutely correct. That man was like a breath of fresh air when he would come to visit me, I thought of him as a father figure. We had a lot of common interests which resulted in great conversations over lunch. I recall the last lunch we had he was saying that he was going to start up a business with your cole slaw, potato salad and my sweet potato pie. I will truly miss seeing him, I am praying that God will lay his hand on you all and ease the pain of his passing. Love, Angie Bozeman (AEP Industries-Griffin GA)

I am so sorry to hear this terrible news. Doug was a great man and I enjoyed
working for him. He taught me a lot about meat that I have shared with my family over the years. He all ways had kind words and encouragement for me anytime I saw him. I am sorry but I am out of town and can't attend any of the services. But Nancy, Lee and Mark my prayers and thoughts are with you.
Deepest sympathy.

It was an honor to know Doug. He worked with me while I was the purchasing agent at Sony in Carrollton. I really appreciated his kindness and friendship. He was by far one of my favorite people and I have thought about him often over the last several years. Heaven surely received someone special.

As the odituary stated "Many of his customers were like family", so true. I am one of those customers, but most of all a friend, and a very dear friend. Mr. Doug and I shared many lunches together, talking a little business and then we would begin talking about things we both loved the most, family and hunting. We would look at the clock and realize several hours had passed. That was the kind of man he was, kind and caring as he listened to my problems and offered wise advice. Like a father does. He had a kind and loving heart, I will truly miss those times with him but I know in my heart that I will see him again in heaven. Love you Mr. Doug and I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to get to know you.
