Douglas Walter Wright

Doug was tough but fair, determined yet soft-spoken, a gentleman in everything he did. He served this nation in the armed forces, and then he served the public as a school teacher and law enforcement officer his entire life. It says a lot for how many lives Doug touched that former elementary school students of his came to pay their respects at his calling hours, now parents themselves, decades after they had been in his classroom. Rest east, brother.

So sorry to hear of your loss. He was always polite to me whenever we met at the town clerk's office. May his memory be a blessing to everyone who knew him.
