I am so deeply saddened by the passing of such a wonderfully kind, witty, and vibrant man. Memories of our cousin Day were mostly from our childhood years when our families would often get together. We always had great times with lots of laughs and fond memories. This poem has always given me comfort at times like this. I am an old friend of Doug's. We met many years ago, in the late 80's when we were both working at Wertheim, an investment bank in New York. We both loved running and we ran the NYC marathon the same year. After we both left the firm we developed an interest in cycling and we both liked modern dance. Doug was very smart, engaging and had great intellectual curiosity. I will miss him tremendously.

My condolences to the York Family! I was one of the schemers! Spent many a day on Shrewsbury Drive Rumson in and around the water. He will be MISSED!
