Eco-Friendly Memorial Trees

I am so deeply saddened by the passing of such a wonderfully kind, witty, and vibrant man. Those of us who had the privilege to work with Doug at the NJEDA will never forget his hearty, infectious laugh. I often reached out to Doug just to hear his thoughts on the latest news, always appreciating how he skillfully mixed concern, humor, and insightful commentary into his responses. His charm, brilliant intellect, and sharp wit were evident to everyone he met. More than anything, being around...

Dear Yorke Family, Although I was only your family dentist in your younger years, I enjoyed getting to know each of you. More recently, I was kept apprised of your whereabouts/ accomplishments through your parents, who BEAMED with pride when speaking of each of you. I´m happy to know that you all have grown into beautiful, smart, successful adults! Your Dad was a very special person - one of my favorite patients. He was quite intelligent, interesting to talk to, easy going,...

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

Memories of our cousin Day were mostly from our childhood years when our families would often get together. We always had great times with lots of laughs and fond memories. We only wish we could have spent more time together as we grew older. He will always be remembered with love. Our condolences. Connie, Kay, Wendy and Ken Yorke

Grove of 100 Memorial Trees

This poem has always given me comfort at times like this. Gone From My Sight by Henry Van Dyke I am standing upon the seashore A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says; "There, she is gone!" "Gone where?" Gone from my sight. That is all....

I am an old friend of Doug's. We met many years ago, in the late 80's when we were both working at Wertheim, an investment bank in New York. We both loved running and we ran the NYC marathon the same year. After we both left the firm we developed an interest in cycling and we both liked modern dance. Doug was very smart, engaging and had great intellectual curiosity. I will miss him tremendously.

My condolences to the York Family! I was one of the schemers! Spent many a day on Shrewsbury Drive Rumson in and around the water. He will be MISSED!
