Douglas Gregory Zimmer

I was searching for Doug online & that's what led me here. Though I hadn't seen him for quite some time every so often he would call me out of the blue,express some strong opinion about something,invite me to a concert 100 miles away & we planned to make plans soon..
I hadn't had one of those calls in a long while..

I cannot believe Doug is no longer with us. I loved him. He was a sweet, gentle soul. I had just recently reconnected with him after finding his YouTube video drumming with his nephew. I am so very saddened by this news. My condolences to his wife and family.

We are so shocked and saddened over Doug's passing. I will never forget him from high school, always playing his drums at the bus stop, and always upbeat and happy. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the Zimmer family.

doug was a good friend back in the plattsburgh college years. when his band played at the bar above monopoles it was always highly attended and all left wanting more. RIP my friend.

I was devastated to learn of Doug's passing. During our high school years, I am truly honored to have performed with him on stage during Sayville High School's musical concerts. Those memories will never be forgotten! He was a true talent!!! My deepest condolences to the Zimmer family and to all of his close friends. Rest in Peace, Doug.
