Midland, Georgia- Doyle Eugene Folds, 58, of Midland, Georgia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 23, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday May 29th in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431N/280 W, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867,with Dr.Wayne Scarborogh officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be John Horne,Bobby Hood, Steve Gordy, John Allen, Chad Bullock, Burt Wilchar, Sherman Moore and Albert Silva. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Frost, Gaylon Hall, Jr., Wade Walburn, Elmer Reno and Mike Noblitt.
Mr. Folds was born June 21, 1954 in Columbus, Georgia son of the late Francis Deese Folds. He attended Jordan High School and was a very accomplished and beloved foundryman of 37 years. Recently he was the director of operations for Diversified Machine Inc./Chassix. Doyle was an incredible lover of sports and outdoors. His passions were in hunting, fishing, golf and he was a lifelong Atlanta Braves and Auburn football fan. Outside his passion for work and foundry, Doyle's entire life revolved around his beloved and devoted wife , children, and grandchildren. His dedication and devotion to his family will always remain his legacy. Other than his mother Doyle is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Wayne and Elizabeth Folds.
Survivors include his cherished wife of 40 years, Denise Folds, daughter, Teresa Folds East and husband Brian, son, Tomothy Doyle Folds and wife, Shanee, grandchildren, Ashton Victoria, Brooklynn Laurel, Brayden Doyle, Jaden Timothy, Jaida Elizabeth, Rylei McKenzie, Keira Mayla and Auburn "War Eagle" Raine, mother-in-law, Barbara Pelham, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Denise and Family I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I just found out about Doyle's pasting. I have felt this need to contact Doyle and tried to find him on Facebook I couldn't believe it when his pasting kept coming up. I remember when he was a young boy and I walked him to baseball games all he ever wanted to talked about was baseball all the way which sometimes made those trips longgggggg. I loved Doyle, Jerry Wayne and Aunt Francis.
There is so much I could say. I wish y'all the best know and know that he is still with you and watching over you all. Love to all.

I am so sorry to read this in mdern casting. I worked with Doyle at Texas foundries. He was a good man. I saw him several years ago at a cast expo.

papa, i havent been able to write because im still in shock that your gone. i loved you so much and you have always been there for me since i was born. you and nana went over and beyond to do things for all the grandchildren. i thank you for all the love & time you put in my life... i wish you were still here & still be apart of our lives but i know you are watching over us 24/7 !!! i love you papa <3

Aunt Denise & Family, my heart was broken when I heard of Uncle Doyle's death. Even though some time has passed since we all last seen each other, you all mean so much to all of us and especially my mom (Aunt Rhonda). We love you all and my prayers are always with you all.

As we were growing up you were more like a brother to me than a cousin and I have never forgotten that. You were a blessed man who had a loving family and friends that cared about you. You touched the life of many and you will be missed deeply. You are loved cousin.

To the Folds family,
I got to know Doyle when I worked with him at Wheland. He was a good friend and we played golf together often. We stayed in touch over the years and I will miss not being able to have more conversations with him. He was a good man and a I could not have asked for a better friend. He will be missed. Denise, Teresa, Tim and family, my heart aches for you all. I only met Doyle a couple of times, but felt like I knew him so very well. I know Denise and Doyle had a special marriage and loved each other deeply. Teresa you're a daddies girl, I knew it from the first few times I met you. Being one myself, I know the loss you feel. My mom said she could always tell when my dad was talking to me by his voice. I know you had a very special connection and talked with him almost daily when he worked in Mexico. Tim, you were dads pride and joy. I wasn';t around you much, I knew you were loved by both your parents. I know you will feel your daddy's loss in a very different way. I am lifting your family up as you go through these next few days. Ashton I know you were PaPa's girl, you were so lucky to have spent so much time with him when you were young. I am so sorry that you have to walk through this valley at such a young age. Jaiden and Jayden,you don't have as many memories as Ashton does, you were loved just as much and were lucky to have a wonderful, loving PaPa. Love to all.

Mrs. Folds and family, I was blessed to have spent quite a bit of time with Doyle over the last two or three years and knew him as a great man, a wonderful story teller, and an expert foundryman who loved his family dearly. He was proud of all of you. I've not met you but feel as though I know you just from Doyle's stories about all of you. He was a great man who became a great friend. To the Folds family,
I have a great respect for the work and leadership of Doyle in his labor of love as a Foundryman. I've benefited from the outstanding performance of his plants and systems he's implemented, except for the 5 molds he let me pour at the Citation Texas Foundry in April 2005. His legacy will be remembered.

Teresa and family...Gerry and I are so sad for this unexpected loss. Your hearts must be broken! I wish I could come right through this tablet to hold and hug you until the pain went away. Denise and family you have my heartfelt sympathy with the passing of Doyle. It is not often two men share so much in common in work and life. Doyle deeply loved all you and with us working day and night in Canada our discussions revolved around family. I worked with Doyle a short time at DMI, and there I gained a wealth of Knowledge as I moved on to my next Job. I never got to Meet his Wife, However he talked about her all the time and that he loved her very much. I know you will be missed by my friends at DMI. RIP....Doyle!!

I am so sorry too hear of you family's loss. I grew up knowing both He and Jerry spending many days playing together both in and out of school,although we share the same last name,we were not relitaves.But knew each other very well.
