Doyle F. Smith, 92, of Pen Argyl, PA passed away Saturday, July 10th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, PA.


Doyle was born in Delabole, PA on April 12, 1929, a son of the late George Smith, Sr. and Florence (Repsher) Smith.


He was the husband of the late Marie (Piccerillo) Smith who passed last November. Doyle was employed as a floor supervisor at the former Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap, PA until retiring. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.


Doyle is survived by a daughter, Roxanne Ennico, wife of Louis, two sons Doyle A. Smith, husband of Connie, and Jonathan G. Smith, 4 grandchildren Kirsten Dotta, wife of Mark, Stephen Ennico, Matthew Ennico, husband of Melissa, and Alysia Balch, wife of Bryan, and 8 great-grandchildren Josh, Jared, Brenna, Tessa, Nicholas, Mia, Grace, and Alivia. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Ella Dotta, three brothers George Jr., Clarence, and Earl Smith, and three sisters May Mack, Ethel Kemmerer, and Arlene Kopko.


Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Building Fund, 300 W. Babbit Ave., Pen Argyl, PA 18072.

Doyle you and Marie were the nicest and kindest people. God is with you both.

So sad for the family. I know how close you all were. Doyle and I always talked about his garden. Wonderful man and Marie was wonderful too. Miss them..

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Sorry for your loss. Will always remember all the good times we had when we were younger coming up for the pig roast on labor day and going to see the fire works. Good bless y´all.
