Not sure what to say?

Thank you, God, for Scotte Holdel! I have no memory of ever NOT knowing Scotte. You know --one of my older brother's tall, cool friends who disappeared into the basement while carrying a tall stack of chocolate chip cookies. I am so glad to have known him, and am grateful that he was such a wonderful friend to Sean and Jan and a holy Christian example to us all.

Eternal rest, grant unto him, O Lord....

Dr. Hodel was one of the most passionate teachers I’ve ever been around. I always enjoyed going to his class. He will truly be missed. He had the “Knack”.

My deepest sympathies are with the family of Dr. Hodel at this sorrowful time. As you go through the days ahead, remember the smiles, the laughter, and all of the good times he shared with you. Keep them close to your heart, they will help you get through those "difficult" times. Everyone he touched has their own special memories of Dr. Hodel.

We want to extend our condolences to the Hodel Family on the homegoing of Dr. Scotte Hodel. Our prayers are with you during your time of bereavement. Please remember that 'weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning'. From the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of Tuskegee, Rev. Amos Harris, Sr., Pastor.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
