Dr. George Pang passed away on August 18, 2023 at the age of 85 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Funeral Home Services for Dr. George are being provided by Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand - Lafayette. The obituary was featured in The Acadiana Advocate on August 29, 2023.

Dr. Pang served as a professor while I was Dean of Engineering at UL. In addition to being an outstanding professor, he was a pleasure to know, with a friendly personality and a big smile. The students loved him. We will miss him. I offer condolences to friends and family. James W. Reeves
