Not sure what to say?

Dr. Williams and I were friends for the majority of both of our lives. Although we first met as students at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, we became especially close when both of us were graduate students at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and later, when we began to work together in the field in Honduras. Ken and I both obtained doctoral degrees under the mentorship of Dr. Douglas A. Rossman, then well-known as an authority on snakes of the genus Thamnophis. Ken...

Ken Williams and I were friends and colleagues for almost six decades from the time he and I were students together at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana until his death, now almost three years ago. Although we lived apart for most of our respective lives, except for the time we spent together as graduate students at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, we always kept in close contact by phone. We carried on field research in our field of herpetology on several occasions in...

I served as a undergraduate assistant for Dr Williams zoology lab class as a requirement for graduation. I also spent a summer working with the geneticist Dr Lin in the Biological Science building and would see and talk with Dr Williams and his 2 beautiful dogs. I believe they were either Irish setters or golden retrievers. Thanks for the memories Dr Williams. Dr Burns is also missed.

Walter and I hope you will find comfort and peace in the coming days as you recall fond memories of Ken. We are thinking of all of you.

Dear Vi and family: I share with all of you a great sense of loss. Ken was my valued friend of more than half a century, since all those years ago at the University of Illinois. Life will not be the same for me without him around. My thoughts are with all of you during this trying time.

Dear Vi, my prayers are with you and the family. Ken was an amazing person. Love Brenda Webb

Vi & family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time.
God Bless,

Dr. Williams was my comparative anatomy teacher shortly after he came to Northwestern. From him I not only learned anatomy but following his example I learned how to be a patient, compassionate teacher. He probably never realized how far his influence has reached. God bless his family and may he rest in peace.

I've known Dr. Williams the majority of my life since his daughter and I were friends. He was always a nice man and seemed to really enjoy life. I can't remember him not having a smile on his face. Michele & family, I am so sorry for your loss. I won't be able to attend the services, but know that I am thinking of you.
