Dr. Philip Kahler Hench

Dear Barbara,
We were sorry to learn of Kahler's death recently and want to extend our deepest sympathies. We got to know him throught the NSCR, before his decline of recent years, and will remember his warmth, sense of humor, modesty and keen interest in other people and ideas. He was one of our links to the formative years of the field of rheumatology. We'll miss seeing him but hope to still see you at NSCR meetings.
