Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg Obituary

Dr. Robert Zapanta Collo died unexpectedly on Friday, December 6, 2018 at age 67. He was married to Ressie G. Collo for 44 years.

Robert Z. Collo was born on July 16, 1951 and grew up in Bamban Tarlac, Philippines as the son of Dr. Natalio C. Collo and Dr. Brigida Z. Collo.  He attended Sto. Nino Academy and graduated from College from Centro Escolar University in 1974.  He received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, in 1974.  He served our country as a dental lab tech with the US Army from 1976-1985. More recently he was a computer engineer and realtor. He resided in Ashburn, VA after living in the Philippines, San Diego and Oklahoma.

On February, 20, 1972, Robert, was married to Ressie Collo, of the Philippines. Their union was blessed with 3 children: Kenneth Collo & wife Natalie Collo, Kris Collo, and Karl Collo & wife Robin Collo. Robert was a loving grandfather to 8 beautiful grandchildren.

Robert was a kind hearted, caring man that always looked out for everyone else before he thought about himself.  His stories always brought a smile to your face.  We are going to miss our father deeply, especially his smile, his sense of humor and his inspiring principles of compassion and showing loving concern for others.  We look forward to seeing our dear loved ones in the Resurrection, including our dear father, Robert (John 5:28.29; Revelation 21:3. 4).
