Not sure what to say?

I miss Aaron. I first met him when he was president of Marti-Maceo, an Afro-Cuban club. He was so kind and welcoming and dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Club and its members. I have not met anyone like him since. I am honored to have met him and to have learned from him.

The world is a little darker with Dr Smith’s passing. I had the honor of being one of his MSW students at USF from 2001-2003. I considered him a mentor. He had a quiet humility about his presence and wisdom. I am a better man and Social Worker because of him. I am glad I said the things to him I did at graduation. I introduced him to my family. “This man is my mentor and I am the better for it.” Say the things now to the ones that mean the most. For you may not have tomorrow to do so and then...

Dr. Smith exuded peace, wisdom and would make me smile. His love for others is a never-ending gift.

Father!!
Grieving now 366 days loving you and missing you. Trusting you are at peace.
Love Angela

A wonderful person to know, meet and have as a relative, inteligent, quiet, thoughtful of nature, he shall be missed.

I had the privilege of taking care of Dr. Smith for a short period of time as his Nurse/ caretaker. He was such a delight to work with. He was very polite and I could tell He really loved God. He had so much wisdom. I learned so much from him in the little time we spent together. Thank you Dr. Smith for the words of wisdom you imparted In my life. And to the Smith family please accept my deepest condolences. May the Lord give you the strength to bare this heavy loss.
