I worked for Dr. Kousseff for several years as the transcriptionist for the pediatric genetics dept. What a wonderful, brilliant, kind and compassionate man. He loved his patients and their families and did his best to bring them comfort as well as the best medical knowledge about their children. He was a wonderful boss, and a wonderful man. Brilliant, compassionate, and dedicated.

Sorry For Your Loss Jesus Christ Loves Me We Love You

Bobby was a dear friend of our family. We enjoyed spending time together on many occasions. May his memory live on!

Boris spent a lifetime dedicated to genetics, his staff, many students and most of all the many patients he labored to find a diagnosis. He was always fun to be around be it at work or playing bridge and tennis. I will always remember his frequent refrain Good livin! ...and indeed it was. He risked everything in escaping from Bulgaria and to all who knew him we shared his America dream.

It was a great pleasure working with Dr. Boris Kousseff from when I joined the USF Pediatrics department in 1987 until his retirement in 2004. He was a pioneer in pediatric genetics and dysmorphology and a visionary in accepting and promoting the (then) avant grade discipline of molecular genetics. No one will ever forget his lectures on the phakomatoses at Regional and National Genetics Conferences. It was an honor to have known, learned from, and worked with Dr. Boris Kousseff.

Sorry I did not know of his illness or where he had moved to or I would have visited him. He was a brilliant doctor and an honor to know him. May he rest in peace.

Dr. Kouseff made so many contributions to the care of children with genetic disorders for their diagnosis, their support and especially for the support of family. He was always collegial and worked well with almost all other faculty at USF and contributed through his efforts to establish the presence of pediatric genetics and dysmorphology in the greater Tampa Bay Community. He was unique and particularly passionate about the care of children and the families with neurofibromatosis. As one...
