Not sure what to say?

I worked with Dr Phillips at WFH from 2005 to 2013. Dr Phillips was absolutely phenomenal in his field and technique. It was such a pleasure working with him. He was a great master at his craft and saved so many lives because of it. You will be missed

Being reminded of the anniversary of Dan's passing brings renewed sadness, but I also find myself smiling over an incident that occurred the first week of our medical school careers at Yale in 1963. We had all assembled for the first day of Averil Liebow's pathology course, and it was before we even knew each others names. Dr. Liebow, who was short of stature and could be gruff, made as though he could not pull down the screen covering the blackboard and without turning around to look at us...

I have just learned of Dan's passing from Brian Rigney, also a classmate from Yale Med '67. Along with Bill Perkins, Dan was my "cadaver mate"in our first year anatomy class in medical school. We remained close friends throughout med school, and then our paths diverged geographically, though we both spent our careers in cardiology. Dan was probably the most athletic of our classmates, but he also had the most gentle sense of humor to go along with that great smile. His accomplishments in our...

I was honored beyond measure to work with Dr. Phillips at WFH. He was always eager/willing to teach me something at any moment! He was also my physician and I felt so safe with him leading me to optimal health. His sense of humor was amazing and he always seemed to see the funny positive side in every situation. I loved this man dearly. I missed him when he retired and will continue to miss him and think of him so fondly. Rest In Peace, Doctor. To his sweet wife whom he always spoke of...

I worked with Dan for many years at West Florida hospital. I was truly amazed by his dedication, intelligence, and affability. I'm an ER doctor, and I could always count on Dr. Phillips doing what was right for the patient. He seemed to have endless endurance, working super long hours, and was almost never complaining. When my Dad developed heart issues, I fully entrusted his care to Dan. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Phillips, a truly inspirational person. A life well-lived,...

Dan and I met as 13-year-old kids. We became fast friends from then until life took us as it would, at about age 20; he was a constant and influential presence in my world. Without exception, every memory of him and those times still bring a huge smile. I am so, so very sorry for your loss. And I deeply regret I never knew of your great affection for Montana. Big Sky has been my home since 1978. How I would have liked to share a piece of this wondrous place with your family. Perhaps some...

Dan was a wonderful father in law and grandfather to our children. In the 12 short years I knew him, he was never cross, always patient and kind. His love for animals and children truly reflected his caring spirt. He will forever be remembered as "Pop Pop" who shared ice cream bars and played in the yard. We love and miss you Dan.

I graduated in 1959 and knew Dan because of football games and seeing him around school!Rest in Peace Dan and Thank you for sharing your talents with so many others!RIPDan
