My friend and teammate. We shared such comaraderie on the LSU "GO Team. In recent years Dexter provided me some insight on my Parkinson's Disease. Our prayers are with Sandra and Dexter. Rodney and Mary

Dr Gary was my doctor and my friend. He operated on my hip 6 times in a period of 21 years, installing 3 artificial hips. My respect for his care & attention to my overall health was impeccable. He gave a lot to all he served. I pray God will be more than honored to have him at the throne of Jesus!!!

I am so sorry to read of the passing of Dr Gary and more shocked of his wife Sandra... I had no idea, I have been thinking about the both of them for a couple of months now, as they were both very sweet to me. I worked for them when they lived in Houma. Mrs Sandra and I spent countless hours talking and laughing at her home in Ellendale. Heart felt prayers for their sweet children Angela, Dexter & Rolland, I love your parents like relatives of my own.

Our hearts go out the the children of these two wonderful, loving, and kind couple as they will not get to know them as long as we have. We are saddened for we have lost 2 beautiful people with the passing of Dr. Dexter and Sandra. Our condolences to all their families. Elvige and Anna Himel (Himel Optical). Houma, La.

Long before I met Dr. Dexter Gary as a physician, I met him as a waitress. He would bring his children into the restaurant where I worked, once a week, and shared breakfast with them. Always such a happy table.

He was one of the team that put me back together after a terrible car accident.

My prayers are with his family.

I played football against Dex in high school. He was a great athlete but an even more exceptional gentleman. I also had the pleasure of spending time with him at Ellendale Country Club in Houma.
