Dr. Douglass Quinn

For posterity sake, I'd like to note some of Doug's achievements. In addition to being a highly skilled Dentist, Doug was an Oceanographer, advanced scuba diver and boat Captain. He was an enthusiastic Golfer, great fisherman and lover of Motown music. Doug was a shrewd businessman, investor and Restaurateur (Slices Pizza). He was the Author of two books of fiction, classic car collector, solid carpenter, and maker of pasta. A great storyteller, I think He played the piano, as well. Never...

Doug and I were buddies for 40 plus years. Scuba diving, golfing, fishing (with Doug's great pal, Dr. Jack Fady), maybe a tall tale here and there. What a great Friend Doug was...so many memories...diving for lobsters in the Keys...Doug dropping a 95 ft. putt in Sandestin, Fla. at Topsail Golf Course (18th hole)...great fishing with Jack (while singing Motown tunes as loudly as possible), and on and on. I've never known a person with so much enthusiasm and a Joy for Life as my Buddy, Doug....

Barbara, Although I did not know Doug I felt as though I should know him through your relationship. I know he was a very good big brother, and you will miss him very much. So sorry for your loss, B.J.
