Dr. Earl "Duke" Harvey

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Cousin, I miss our talks and your laughter.

You were a part of my life at the early stages, the time that I experienced and absorbed so much. You were there from the time I was born to the time that we moved away from Detroit. You were a part of our family. At that time you were young man just charting your destiny. You taught me how to swim by taking me into the deep end and throwing me off your back. But you made sure you were not too far to save me. You will never be forgotten!

I met Cousin Duke on a plane from STL to Detroit. It was Devine intervention and we stayed in touch over the years. I saddens me to learn that he passed, but I'm blessed to have met him and rekindled my families relationship. Cousin Duke has family in St. Louis and I would LOVE to hear from you, please call me:

Cousin Earl, thank you for the opportunity you helped to make possible so that many members of The Families of Poplar Springs CME Church could meet through 49 years of Homecomings.

Earl and I go back to when I was in the single digits in St Louis Mo.. I knew the whole family, and grew up with his younger brother Ronnie. I'm so sorry I called one and a half months to late. I miss him stopping by when he came to St Louis to visit his family. R.I.P Dr, Harvey, you were a great man full of wisdom.

Dr. Earl (Duke) Harvey! I am proud to be your nephew. You were and are a great influence on my life. You will always be in my heart! Rest in Peace uncle!
