Not sure what to say?

Our family knew Dr. Nelson through his grandsons, Olin and Stephan Great memories

I have always considered Henry my second father- and Erik, Mark, Joel, Torre and Andrea like cousins. I've known Henry for over 50 years. Our families spent vacations together in the northwoods of WI at Honey Rock Camp every year-with 9 kids and a dog- fishing, swimming, catching frogs (and leaches), scouting for bears, playing PIT and riding the burros at camp. Over the years there were weddings, funerals, birthdays and holidays together. He dressed up as Santa for my kids, and easily...

Henry was our closest and dearest friend for fifty years. He and Mildred were like family to us and to our children. One of my favorite memories of Henry was when he came to Cambridge, England to visit us. When he was ready to leave we took him to the train where he was going to visit Mark and Pauline next. I had a bag lunch for him to eat on the train, and I gave him a big hug and kiss. He then turned to me and said "why to I feel like I am going off to college? We love you Henry and...

Dr. Nelson was one of my all time favorite from the college. I loved his smile and how he always made me feel special. He and Mildred attended our wedding 42yrs ago and I remember thinking I want a marriage like Dr. Nelsons because it was so evident how much he loved Mildred.
Rest In Peace you sweet, sweet soul, you were loved.

Our deepest condolences to the Nelson Family. Joel Nelson is a part of our Whitley's Funeral Home family. We have heard many stories from Joel concerning his dad. He was definitely a special man. The whole Nelson family is our thoughts and prayers. David, Jane and the staff at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis NC

Oh, how we loved Henry! What great memories of the years he taught the New Life SS class. We remember when his precious granddaughter died and how he shared his heart with us. We remember how he always quoted Haddon Robinson. Most of all, how he loved Mildred. They are together again, with Jesus! Blessed hope in Christ!

Remembering a dear sweet Uncle

Great memories of working with Henry at the College from '75-'81; and of he and Mildred at Family camps at Honey Rock during the same period of time. Blessings to the family; I think Andrea may remember us from that time at Camp.
