Not sure what to say?

Janet had a gentle guidance that was so inspiring. She recently taught a Becoming an Outdoors Woman - Introduction to Fly Fishing class at Whitewater State Park where I work. The participants were so comfortable with her. She was nervous to teach her first fly fishing class but did a phenomenal job and inspired her students to share the sport with other women and girls. I did not have the opportunity to know Janet very long and I am saddened to have lost my new friend.

So many hearts have been broken with the loss of Janet and Brian. Dr. Janet has shared so many moments in my life and that of my animals, and her compassion, humor, caring and devotion will be so missed. I remember when she went to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and her stories of trying to help the many displaced animals. And we both laughed at her stories of Nigel and his "film career" as they went out on photo shoots and auditions. Such an amazing individual, and my deepest...

Our condolences. My name is Shirley (Lenz) Spelhaug, I am from Mooreton, ND and my husband Alan is from Wyndmere. The Veit family and my family (Lenz) were members of St. Anthony's church in Mooreton. Great families from a very small town in North Dakota, a good place to live and grow up. We moved here to West Salem in 1970, the year Janet was born. Just wanted to share this with you, I do remember your family. So sorry for you loss.

She had a good heart, and was very caring for her patients and owners. She will be deeply missed.

Dr. Janet was such a compassionate, caring and sensitive person and we were privileged to have had her care for our pets. They loved going to see her and she treated them with the utmost respect and diligence, right to the end of their lives. She had a great sense of humor and tremendous empathy and kindness for those who were suffering, whether they were animals or people.

She will be greatly missed and we are grateful to have known her, not just as a vet but as a friend. We...

Janet was an angel on earth and will be missed so much. She cried with me when I lost my Guinea Pig, JR and sobbed on the floor with us when we lost our sweet Golden, Basil. She was so compassionate and loving and always put the care of her patients first. May we all feel comfort that she was greeted in Heaven by many furry friends.

Janet took care of my fur kids from puppies to old guy and gal. She was always there for us and we considered her a friend. Still remember when she met our lil kitten and she puffed up and hopped with tail straight up. Janet laughed at her fiestiness. Thank you for all you did. We feel lucky to have known her. I hope Maddy and Savy stopped by in heaven and said hi.A

My condolences to Dr. Janet's family, friends, and coworkers on this heartbreaking loss. Dr. Janet was so thoughtful and compassionate in her care of my many animals over the years. I will miss her so very much.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I was roommates with Janet in vet school. I wish I could attend the service and tell you in person how much Janet meant to me. We had stayed close friends and I got to spend time with her and Brian together over the years. Janet's entire vet school class is feeling her loss profoundly. We will miss her dearly.
