It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Jesse D. Mitchell, a devoted husband, father and esteemed Physician. He left this world on June 10, 2025 due to an acute blood clot to his lungs (pulmonary embolism), at the age of 66.
He was born in Bladen County, North Carolina February 1, 1959.
His educational journey included undergraduate degree at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama; University of North Carolina at The Chapel Hill for Medical School and post graduate degrees at The Cleveland Clinic, Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He enjoyed a long career in surgical Dermatology and Cosmetic surgery, and was Board Certified in both. He was a respected figure in his field for many decades.
He enjoyed a zest for life that was evident in his love for travel and sports, particularly golf. His adventures, spirit and enthusiasm inspired those around him to embrace every moment.
Beyond his professional accomplishments Jesse was a beloved husband and cherished father. He will be remembered and cherished forever in the hearts of his family members, friends, and colleagues.
As we celebrate his life we invite all who know Jesse to remember the warmth of his smile, the strength of his character and the loving spirit he shared so freely, the family thanks all who have shared prayers, words, and acts of support.
Funeral services will be held June 28, 2025 at 4:30pm OC Grace Church 12702 9th St Garden Grove, CA

I just found out that my dear doctor passed away in June, and my heart is truly broken. He was such an amazing and caring person — a doctor who really listened, supported me, and performed two successful surgeries that changed my life. I will always be grateful for his kindness and the way he made me feel safe and cared for. May he rest in peace. He will never be forgotten.
